Cherry Hill Arabians has been breeding straight Egyptian Arabian horses for over thirty years.  The farm is within commuting distance of downtown Toronto, Canada, and about forty minutes from the international airport.  

The greatest reward, is the joy the horses themselves bring. However, through the years the horses have brought other things to our lives. One has been the opportunity to travel and meet other horse lovers from all over the world. Our first trip to Cairo, Egypt in 1985 resulted in the importation of a mare, Ashwak, from the Egyptian Agricultural Organization. A subsequent trip in 1987 resulted in the acquisition of the chestnut stallion *Ben Ben Bilal. That trip also marked the beginning of a valued friendship with *Ben's breeder, Madame Wegdan El Barbary, one of Egypt most prominent breeders and an international judge of Arabian horses.  

Another highlight has been going to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington every year for the  Egyptian Event.  It was during the 1993 Egyptian Event, that a group of friends put together "The Farid Syndicate". We were members of the syndicate, until Farid was sold to Argentina in the summer of 1995. Durning that time Farid travelled to The Salon de Cheval in Paris, France and so did we!  As well, Farid accomplished U.S National Top Ten and Egyptian Event Supreme Champion! What exciting years they were and what fun we all had!

Another unforgetable year at the Event was 2000 and competing in the Performance Pyramid with The Cairo Bey.  Three riders, many classes and many championships, what a rush!  Riding him myself and  winning first place medals in his Dressage tests in 2002 at the Kentucky Horse Park was also a dream come true.

From left to right: Shamahl (*Talal X *Shamah), *Mameluck (Hadban Enzahi X Moheba 11), *Ben Ben Bilal (Misk X Nazeema).  Ben Ben Bilal  is still on the farm with us. How  fortunate we are to have our memories of the legendary Hadban Enzahi son *Mameluck,  as well as our foundation stallion Shamahl, who left us in the winter of 2002 in his 28th year.

Our enthusiasm remains steadfast, but circumstance has curtailed our activities.  Breeding has been minimized and there will not be a foal for sale until maybe Spring of 2007.  Our current goal is to start riding again on a regular basis!

UNITED COLOURS   We are very pleased to announce that United Colours has been acquired by Julie Rosbottom and Jarrett Green of Uxbridge Equestrian Centre.  United Colours is a straight Egyptian, pure in the strain Dahman Shahwan colt by the popular stallion, True Colours.  His dam is by Ben Ben Bilal, our stallion imported from Egypt, and out of our foundation broodmare, a daughter of the ledgendary *Soufian. 

Horses of Cherry Hill Arabians : Here you will find pictures & pedigrees of the horses in our breeding program.  As we contemplate retirement, we are looking for the right homes for some of our prime stock.  We will always have horses,  just not quite so many!  If something suits your breeding program, please get in touch with us.
